eudri.com: who we are and how we work

eudri.com explains what the European Deforestation Regulation means for companies that import or trade coffee, cocoa, wood, rubber, soy, palm oil or beef. Not for lawyers — for the entrepreneur who wants to know if it affects them, from when, and what they need to do.

Why this platform exists

The regulation has been postponed three times since 2023, simplified in December 2025 and adjusted again in July 2026. For a corporation with a sustainability department, that is manageable. For a coffee roastery of twelve people who want to know if they need to submit in December, it is an impossible task.

We work that out per situation and write it down in plain language, with a reference to the article for each statement. So you don't have to believe us — you can check it.

How the texts are created

We monitor official sources automatically: EUR-Lex for the regulation and everything adopted under it, the European Commission's implementation pages, and the competent authorities per Member State. Every week we check what is new and which pages it affects — for this dossier, that is no formality.

The texts are written with AI based on those sources, run through a technical review that blocks prohibited formulations, and then approved by a human before they go online. Nothing goes live automatically. Under each article you can see when it was last checked.

What we don't do

We never declare that a product, a plot or a supplier is deforestation-free, legal or "EUDR-proof" — that judgment is yours as a market operator and ultimately that of the competent authority. We are not a certification body and not a quality mark, we do not perform satellite analysis, and we do not mention an article number or deadline that we cannot point to in the official text.

Is something wrong? Let us know via contact. That is the most important mail we receive: if a text turns out to be incorrect, we take it offline immediately.
