Set up and submit your deforestation due diligence file
Three deferrals and a simplification round later, hardly anyone knows exactly what applies to them. There are now four different entry dates, and which one applies to you depends not only on your business but also on your product: the same coffee roaster falls under 30 December 2026 for roasted beans and under 30 December 2027 for instant coffee. Six questions, and you'll know where you stand.
Takes about two minutes. No account, no payment details.
What entrepreneurs ask us most often
"Isn't that regulation simply abolished?"
No. It has been deferred three times and simplified in December 2025, but it is coming. For large and medium-sized enterprises it applies from 30 December 2026 — that is in just over four months. Micro and small get until 30 June 2027, unless they already fell under the old timber regulation.

Then you are probably not a first market operator and do not need to file your own declaration. Your obligation is then much lighter: keep the declaration number of your supplier and pass it on, and five years of records. That is exactly what the check finds out for you.

The role check and the knowledge base are free, and they will stay that way. If you want to build up your file — suppliers, plots, documents — then there is a fixed entry price and a subscription. We are built for SMEs, not for companies with a sustainability department.

We work with the official texts and cite them by name: the regulation itself (EU 2023/1115), the amending regulation governing the deferral and simplification (EU 2025/2650), the implementing regulation with the country classification (EU 2025/1093), and the two acts of 13 July 2026 by which the Commission amended the product list and established technical rules for the information system. Below each article you will find which source was used and when it was last checked.
The articles in our knowledge base are written with the help of AI based on those sources, run through a technical review and approved by a human before they go online. Below each article you will find the date of the last review. See how we work.
What this is not: we never declare that a product, a plot or a supplier is deforestation-free, legal or "EUDR-proof". That assessment is and remains yours as a market operator, and ultimately that of the competent authority. We structure, validate for completeness and generate the documents — tools and accountability, not a guarantee.
